I really want to blog. Really I do. But Harrison is in a phase right now where TV isn't good enough for him. No. He wants attention! He wants me to draw things for him. He wants me to read books to him. He wants me to talk to him. Doesn't he understand that I have important blogging to do? Jeez, these kids.
Yes, that was totally sarcastic. Well, 99% sarcastic. I really do have things I'd love to do if Harrison would play nicely by himself for a few minutes. Showering is nice. I like to wash every day, believe it or not.
"Let's play football!" is Harrison's idea. Hmmm. Showering is not going to happen anytime soon.
(Yes, my son got a bad haircut the other day. The place Hubby took him really does a crappy job cutting kids' hair. Well, actually, we were going for a diagonal bangs look.)

I enjoy your blog and thought of you when I saw that Amazon has a "$5 off $19" special on Bob's Red Mill products, including some gluten-free items. It ends today. There is info on this at the following link: http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=52129011&tag2=bostongalsope-20.
Hmm I see from above that you have the same 'visitor' that I do!
For for haircut - handy hint for the day if you are careless enough to 'trust' hubby with such tasks - take Sharpie pen and draw across child's forehead at required length / height of bangs. Advise spouse that if the line if visible on his return, you will have no option but to save money by giving him [spouse] a buzz cut.
Cheers
He's a doll. Crappy haircut? From this I know. I took Miss G for a Dorothy Hamill - you know? A wedge. The 18 year old doofus hair cutter had NO clue and G's head is proof..... How's tricks, Lawrer??
:)
Good tip, McEwen! You know, you'd think Hubby would understand about boys' haircuts, since he's a guy and all, but no. I'm always the one who has to remind him not to let them cut Hutton's hair short on top because he has two, that's right, two cowlicks. Harrison's hair is pretty basic, but I guess cutting hair straight across is harder than it seems.
Kimbully, I had the Dorothy Hamill as a kid. That rocked. I was just looking at some of my various kids hair styles. I'll have to post some pictures of the classics in a new blog entry.
Believe it or not, it snowed here today. Fortunately, not enough to cancel school. And Harrison is watching Clifford on TV. I love Clifford, the Big Red Dog! (That's the theme song for those of you who don't watch it.)
Laura, email me I have some info about an autism recovery seminar in Washington state at the end of the month. You're in WA aren't you?? K R Stagliano @ charter dot net.
KIM
Poor kid looks like he is in a hosatge video.
er...hostage
Laura - Like Kim, I know from bad haircuts, I give them. Jared screams so loud for a haircut, he bursts blood vessels in his cheeks and neck. Sooo, for the past three years, I have trimmed Jared's hair while he sleeps, this process usually takes nightly trims for about 5 days. Yes, there are days that the right side of Jareds head are trimmed, and the left is a little shaggy. Thank god he's cute, because this is not the optimum look. Honestly, Harrison looks great, tell him to tip his head.
